A technical/cruising seminar will be held on Friday 22nd February at 19:00 on the Quarter Deck.
The meeting will be as wide ranging as possible with the intention that all will contribute. In order to have some format Bob Hattersley will talk and illustrate the benefits of Forward Looking Sonar, I may weigh in with a few words on anchors and anchoring (and ask for your experiences) and Peter Forey will demonstrate and talk on EPIRBs and AIS. Any other subject may be raised which you may think are of interest and upon which opinions from others can be sought.
After the Seminar (at about 20:10 we will be able to enjoy a two course meal (price about £9 with coffee) but I need you to give me numbers so that I can advise the caterers (we have about 20 so far booked in).
Peter Cumberlidge (the author of many cruising books including “Secret Anchorages of Brittany” and a regular contributor to Yachting Monthly) to speak to us at the Club on Saturday February 23rd at 19:00 followed by Supper on the quarterdeck. The cost of the three course supper will be £15.50 with coffee. You do not have to eat supper to attend the talk—but it would be nice for everyone to sit down together! So far about 38 are booked into the Supper. Bookings through me please and not to the bar or restaurant

The Roger Part Trophy is handed out at the Club AGM to a member who submits the best log.
The two other trophies first handed out last year to Cruisers are again on offer. One will be awarded to the member who travels furthest and visit many ports but who may not have returned to Port here in Devon and the other will be awarded to the member who can submit either:
